GUS SIGNS ANOTHER CONTRACT WITH Southampton FC Academy

Congratulations to Former New Forest Football Academy player Gus who has signed another contract with Southampton FC Academy for the 2022/23 Under-11 Squad!

Gus joined New Forest Football Academy in 2017, when he was aged just 5 years old! Gus regularly attended our after school clubs before joining our U6 Elite Development Centre with Coach Jamie . After a short while, Gus developed a passion for goalkeeping and played for New Forest Football Academy against the likes of AFC Bournemouth, Portsmouth FC and Chelsea FC Advanced DC. In 2020, Gus progressed into Southampton FC Pre-Academy as an U8 and was then offered back to back contracts for the U9 and then U10 Academy Squads.

Last week, Gus was ball boy for the U18 Premier League National Final between Southampton FC and Manchester City, where he caught up with his local idol, Eddie Beach!!
