Job Description:

New Forest Football Academy, the leading Individual Football Coaching Provider in the South Coast of England, is excited to announce a unique opportunity for an Academy Coach to join our team on a full-time basis, overseeing Academy operations. This exciting role involves fronting the coordination of the NFFA Academy Programme, providing an unparalleled chance for passionate individuals to play a crucial role in player development and pathway progression.

Duties & Responsibilities (working alongside our office administrative team):

  • Programme Coordination: Oversee all aspects of the NFFA Academy Programme, including
  • Development Centres, Soccer Schools, Holiday courses and After School Football provision, ensuring a seamless and effective football pathway from beginners through to elite players.
  • Hands-On Coaching: Contribute to the delivery of sessions within NFFA Academy Development Centres, After School Clubs, Holiday Courses, and Saturday Soccer Schools.
  • Administrative Excellence: Manage administrative tasks related to all aspects of the Academy, including maintaining group sizes, handling enquiries, and actively contributing to the recruitment and retention of players across all of our programmes.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with AFC Bournemouth Recruitment Staff to identify high-potential players, facilitating their progression into Professional Academy Football environments.
  • Building Relations: Collaborate with parent/guardians to address individual player needs, concerns, and goals, tailoring coaching strategies to support each players development. Ensure that all communication with parent/guardians is timely and professional, using a variety of channels such as email, phone calls, and in-person meetings.
  • Fixture Coordination: Arrange fixtures with local professional academies and like-minded organisations, enhancing player exposure and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the management of our Academy Kit stock levels, and initiate reorder processes as required.
  • Professional Development Leadership: Plan and deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities for NFFA Academy Staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Lead Coaching Staff Support: Oversee and support our Lead Coaching Staff in delivering high-quality coaching sessions and ensuring the consistent implementation of coaching philosophy.
  • Young Coaches Programme: Contribute to the development of individuals within our young coaches’ programme, providing mentorship and guidance to support their growth within the organisation.
  • Social Media/Marketing: Manage our social media channels to increase brand awareness, parent engagement, and followers across our various platforms.
  • Regularly update website content, including our Academy courses, text context, imagery, and latest news, to keep information accurate, relevant and engaging. 

Specification:

Essential:

  • Football Coaching Qualification: Introduction to Coaching Football / FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate.
  • Child Welfare: Safeguarding Children Certificate, First Aid Certificate & DBS check (both in date).
  • Full UK Driver’s License and access to own car.
  • Coaching Experience: Experience coaching players across our Academy age ranges.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Technology Proficiency: Good level of IT skills.
  • Commitment to Growth: Dedicated to self-improvement and personal development.

Desirable:

  • Educational Background: Sports Related Degree.
  • Advanced Coaching Qualification: UEFA C / FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate (or working towards).
  • Academy Experience: Experience coaching talented players in an Academy or Development Centre.
  • Diverse Skill Set: Range of recognised Coaching Qualifications.
